II will always remember the first time I saw this view in Griffith woods park. I followed a small trail snaking through the woods, stepping over logs and walking past bunny tracks in a fresh snowfall. The forest opened up at the curve of a riverbank, the trail then meandering riverside beside water carved ice sculptures. The river widened and the view expanded and I felt like I was walking in wild place far outside a city.
