I will always remember the first time I saw this view. In my early days of exploring Griffith Wood, I followed a small trail snaking through the forest, stepping over logs and walking past bunny tracks in the fresh snowfall. The forest opened up at the curve of a riverbank, the trail then meandering riverside beside water carved ice sculptures. The river and its bed widened and the view became so expansive that it felt like I was in a rugged land far outside any city.
